Well, I don't know if there is a difference between the GT and LX swaybars, but I do know that on the 'GT, the swaybar is probably the one thing that is adequate for handling. If there is a difference it bar sizes between the GT and LX, find a 87 - 93 GT and get the bars off it. I do know that the '93 Cobra uses a softer bar than the GT's even! I know a guy w/ a '93 Cobra who just told me (at this weekend's autoX) that he replaced his sway bar with a GT sway bar. However, my suggestion is to save your money on swaybars and replace the rest of the inadequate parts on your car. If you don't already have them, I know that tires are the best place to spend money and see an improvement in your times. Get a good set of competition tires (Kuhmo Victoracers, or G-Force are what most people use)

I would guess that the sway bars on the GT as well as the rest of the suspension package is the same as the setup on a 5.0 LX. I have a 90 LX 5.0 and it corners extremely well for being OEM.

Hey autoX. Was wondering if you have any pics up of your Stang. I've been looking to buy the exact same hood as you have and was curious as to how it looks and how you like it.

The front bar is made of:
SAE-J403, 1018 Solid Ends/SAE-J404,4130 DOM Steel & 33mm (1.31")

I believe they were used on both LX & GT versions.
