SystemaxII intake and Box stock RPM heads
I have the 2.02 RPM's and I am installing a Systemax I read somewhere that there will be a "lip" in the runners from the intake into the heads? now is that gonna be a prob?? I dont want to Remove the heads from the car so Portin the heads is outta the question.. do you think that even with this "lip" i will see noticeable gains from GT40 to holley?? also I have a post about the Tall FMS valve covers and needing a one inch spacer for that intake does that sound right to you guys runnin this intake?? Thanks alot!!

The Holley lower is just about a 1262 Fel-Pro, so if your heads are not ported to a 1262 there will be a step, this will create turbulance and cause a loss of some power..how much, I really don't know. However you should see a gain in power switching to the Holley over the GT-40.
I know I needed a 1" spacer with my fabbed alum valve covers and I had to grind down one of the bolt heads to get it not to rub...

I have the tall, black Motorsport covers and use no spacer. I did have to use a die grinder on a couple fins though.
I switched from a GT-40. The upper RPM power increase is awesome. |

hey do you guys think that the one inch spacer hurts any power? does it help? should I ditch the tall covers and go back low profile?
