66 T to 5.0 swap
I have a very good 5.0 engine that I want to swap into my 66 coupe with an inline 6. The question is what motor mounts I should get for the swap?.
Also, the 3spd manual trans. is shot. What would be a good donor car for a 4spd manual trans. I Know already about the t-5 donors but am having zero luck finding one locally behind anything but 4 cyl. vehicles. BTW I already have the parts for the disk brake and front spring swap as well as a rear axel to match the 5 bolt pattern and am starting that mod real soon. |

Get the 289-302 motor mounts. I take it is the engine with 50 oz imbalance. Gotta get the flywheel for that balance. I'd go with a 5 speed. Although a 4 speed should be fine or a C4. As of right now I'm going with a saleen 5.0 engine and a 5 speed tranny in the fastback, power everything(windows, doors, trunk, etc.) Of course sefi. Now 4 wheel power disk brakes. Should be done in June. Currently working on porting and polishing everything . Good luck
