Question Please help w/Throttle Body install question??

I am installing a 70mm BBK Throttle body in my 1998 GT and I'm basically done, but there was a black plastic hollow cup piece that looks like it fits into the throttle body where the TPS sensor screws on to the Throttle Body. Do I use this plastic part BBK had in the package or was it a protector piece of the TPS area on the TB? FYI-It doesn't mention anything in the directions about this little round black plastic part.
Thanks for your help.

Yes you do need to use it. It goes in with the groove up I believe.
