T-Tops

I have subframe connectors, whole new race suspension, but have T-tops. Now, if I beef up my car anymore then it already is, do I need to do anything else special? Will I bend anything or do T-tops hang up pretty well? I know you can't build up a convertible mustang for that reason, but what about T-tops?

How much beefing up do you plan on doing?
If you are worried about the frame holding up you can always buy 4 or 6 point roll cage.
I have a mild 351W in my 82GT, and that has T-tops with just subframes and I see no problems yet.

I have a 87 LX that I have raced for 14 years and it has t-tops! Yes there is a small dent behind the center support, but it lives for another weekend! It was a 5spd now a c-4 347 60ft are1.58 on a good day, but on a poor track! I have frame connectors and southsides. Remember Jim Larocca 86GT, it had t-tops too! I think it ran some low Eights!

I just have subframes on my car. Since then it feels much tighter and even handles slightly better. I know of one t-top that runs in the 9's, I think his name is Bob Kurgan. So I know its possible to make a t-top car go that fast. A cage could help too.
