Post T5 identification (year and application)

Howdy all!

Well, I'm about ready to buy a used trans from a reputable salvage yard. He says it's a 90-up T5. Is there a way to tell by the trans tag what year it is? He's asking $600 with exchange. I know the 600 is probably high for a used trans, but I got laid off and don't have the dough to buy a new trans or have the old one rebuilt (needs 3rd cluster, mainshaft, bearings and synchros) Thanks!

Yeah, give me the info from the tranny tag and I will tell you the year and what car it's out of. I have a sheet right here that tells me all that stuff.
