Got my truck back..OMG!
Well it's been a long time, and the project is finally almost over. I drove my truck for the first time with the new motor. Let me start by saying look at my sig. It's tubbed, roll cage etc...it has a 18.5 inch M/T's tires on the rear. Well I was taking it easy, and just gave it a little bit of gas, and it was like a top fuel dragster! It left huge tire marks, just roasted the tires. I was shocked! I knew the new motor would be strong but..OMG. I took it up to 5,900 once and there is NO doubt with some traction/slicks it'll lift the wheels 3ft+ at the strip. The motor guy, said the motor will turn 7,500rpm easy. So needless to say I'm pumped, taking it wednesday morning to get the exhaust put on. I was going to take some pics to post but the batterys in my digital camera went dead. That always happens when I actually want to take a pic of something important to me. Another thing is I cruised around for 15 minutes and the beast didn't get over 170! Ok, Ok, sorry I'll stop, I'm just sooooo excited.

Put 5 gallons of 110 in there. For 5 gallons of 110 it cost me $21. ;o\ So I mixed 110 with 93, and sum 6-7+ octane boost. It has a 16 gallon fuel cell, so to fill that up with 110 it would cost me a lil under $70 to fill up one time with it! It has 10.5:1 CR so I think the 110/93 combo will be alright. When I hook up the nitrous I want to have a seperate fuel cell with straight 110+. I can't wait to take this beast to the dyno. It's THE coolest feeling to be buckled in a 5 harness, and a roll cage on your side. See ya guys. ;o)

Hellooo, isn't this Mustangworks.com, not s-10works.com?
Just kidding. Its cool to hear someone actually finish a S-10 with a small block. I've seen a lot of locals slap a 350 in one and never do the followup (tubs, cage, built engine). Good luck at the Dyno and let us know how you do. ------------------ '95 Chrome Yellow GT ragtop, KN filter charger, Dynomax cat back, Accel plugs and wires, Chromed '95 Cobra R's (bought for $19.95, now 2 are warped!). http://www.mustangworks.com/cgi-bin/moi-display.cgi?1883 |
