Question Trans mission temp guage

I have an autometer tranny temp guage for my car , but how do I hook it up. Where in the tranny does it hook to. I have a transmission cooler in front of the radiator if that makes a difference. I am running a powerglide.

Thanks

not really a "place" for it...
some tap the pan and install it there, I think there is a bung you can buy from B&M that allows for a sensor (also a handy drain incase of overfill). some "T" on of the tranny oil tubes and put the sensor in it. put it before your cooler so you get the tranny temp and not cooled oil temp

Not sure about the powerglide, but the AOD has test ports on the side of the case that have plugs in them. I remove the plug, and install the temp. sender there.

They're a great idea, especially with a smaller than stock torque converter. They get hot, and that's never good.

Take care,

Tranny temp gauges are a great idea, especially for the higher stall convertors that see street use. I installed my temp gauge by ordering a B&M temp gauge. It came with everything necessary to tap into the return line to get an accurate temp, including the "T" fitting and the sensor. I decided to use the return line because I want to know if my tranny cooler is doing it's job. Jeg's sells the tranny gauge.

Good luck
