Temp. Problem
Hey guys,
I just started experiencing some high temp. on my 89GT mustang this morning on my way to work. I noticed that as the car start to warm up, the temperature rises to the second line before the 270* mark and after about 30-40s it comes down to it's normal operating temp. 180*. This has never happend before. I haven't had a chance to check the water level, since I'm at work still, but I'll do so before going home. My question is if, my water level is o.k., do you guys think I might have a thermostat going bad? I recently ,about 2months ago, changed the radiator fluid but did not change the 180* thermostat that I currently have on. I have the following mods: 2core aluminum radiator, 180* thermostat, Elderbrock water pump and BBK pulleys that might have some affect on the temp. I think I might have a thermostat that is probably getting stuck or going bad, what do you guys think?
