What do you guys recommend running in a 1995 GT? I'm in the Dallas TX area.

No lower than 180deg. If it's lower it'll screw up the air/fuel mixture.

Yep. Are you having overheating problems or do you just want it to run cooler?

I live in sanantonio tx, hot as a sob here, i run a 160 stat, frank might be right though, cuz for some reason im running a bit rich, but i know im making more power, and i track tested this, with the 195 stat i was barely running 96 mph, now im around 98.60 mph, with the colder stat.

The car is running a little on the warm side, but I think I've got to get this detonation problem sorted out first.

For the last week or so the car has been running great, no detonation. It has just been running a little on the warm side. I thought that maybe with the car being from Canada it would use a different T-stat than the cars down here.

Thanks.

We were having some temp probs after putting in our new 347. Down here in summer run a 180 then during fall and winter run stock. But whatever you do get some watter wetter-it works. Were running a 160 right now but going back to the 180. Dont use Stant, use Robershaw. I run 4 diff Stants and they suck, some did'nt open till 200 or so and by then it was too late.
