![]() It seems like I have a screwy problem with either my eec or tfi module. I can start the car cold and it will idle just fine for about 5 minutes until it warms up. then it sputters and backfires a dies. As soon as it dies, there's chirping going on inside the distributor. If i take the distributor cap off, then the spark jumps from the coil wire to the primary wire terminals on the coil. It's like on a points system the points are opening and closing without it running. Do i have a tfi module problem or something else. THe car is kind of a complicated mess. I have converted from an aod to a tremec tko trans and am still using the aod computer. It's had some idling problems ever since the conversion. I would probably help myself out by getting a manual computer from somewhere. But i am not sure if i got an eec tuner if that would help matters. Any help is greatly appreciated. It's getting very frustrating.
