TFI Module Question

After posting many Q's about problems with my 1994 Mustang 5.0 and how sluggish it is off the line. I came across people with the same problem talking about something called a TFI Module? What is it? Most importantly would it affect my gas mileage cause i am getting 12-13 MPG and driving it like a grandma. Is there anthing else that could be causing this? NEED HELP!!!! Thank You

it is also hard to start at times for example: After driving it around and i shut it off...... I go to start it again and it cranks over just fine but it gets to the point were it goes long enough were it starts to grind the starter or soemthing and it wont start!!! Very Embarrasing!!

change the TFI module, its cheap insurance. they go bad all the time, and even if its not your problem, it will be at some point, and u'll be happy to have the spare in your trunk!

Exactly what ghettopop said... they are cheap and cause all sorts of random problems. And not starting is one of them. also check your coil too.

It controls the amount of spark dwell. On a 5-0 , it is mounted on the side of the distributor.
