One thing to consider - the freer flowing intake system, the less work the blower will have to push in the mixture - or - the more mixture the blower can push in for the same amount of effort. Only thing is, the big heads and intake will really weaken esp. the low and mid-range drivebility and throttle response of your 5.0 size motor until you add the blower, and then you'd want to size and drive the blower to start making some boost pretty quickly off idle or you'll still have a very mushy lower end. Talk to the blower mfg and see what they recommend for what you want to end up with. I understand the X cam works very well with a blower (that's what Coast often uses on quite hp blower motors)

PS - I understand that the X cam works well with blowers because in addition to it's lift and duration, it has wide lobe centers which doesn't pass as much of the blower pressure thru on the relatively shorter overlap period. Maybe even check with Coast for your setup for a recommendation.

I thought the Track Heat heads just had higher lift springs on them versus the Streets. They don't flow any more air. And I think the Streets are good to .550" lift, which is more than plenty for the stage 1 cam. I would go with a Track Heat upper personally for use with a blower, but the Street Heat will produce a better bottom end as previously mentioned. If the car is mostly a street car then the Street intake might suit you better.

There is a guy that has set the record for the fastest stock blocked mustang.

It was ALL BOX STOCK PEICES.

TFS TW heads
E-303
Edelbrock intake

and a 18psi S-Trim with DFI.

3000lb race weight. It was dipping into the high 9's.

Digital Fuel Injection. You program the fuel maps and ignition maps on a laptop. MUCH more versatility and potential for power than stock computer.
