I like the first one the best. What maniflold will you be using? I can tell you exactly what you need to do to make one depending on the manifold. I made mine work on a 351 and used the stock cable. The cable is too long, but it works. What kind of carb?

what manifold do you recommend? hell, what carb do you recommend too? Carb needs to be one of the $250-$375 ones though. I want it to be a somewhat daily driver, but it needs to eat camaros and **** firebirds like yours, lol. by the way...I drink beer too.

I recommend a 600 holley with manual choke, vacuum secondaries. P/N 0-1850S It is $229 in summit. Use edelbrock performer rpm intake P/N 7121. It is a non egr manifold. Wont pass emissions. It is $155 in summit. You also know that you will need a distributor from an 85 GT right? Go to the parts store and ask for one with the steel gear (to match your roller cam). $50 at my local autozone. Get an ignition box for any old ford truck or car. The wells number is F102. You need a distributor cap and rotor to fit the 85 distributor. I don't recollect what year your car was. On a 89, the fuel lines are on the passenger side and you can cut them and splice a piece of 3\8 hose onto it to run to the fuel pump. If you are going to use the stock timing cover, you will need to get an electric pump. YOU CANNOT USE THE STOCK PUMP!!!!! You must pull the gas tank and remove the stock pump from the sending unit. Get a piece of 3\8 brake line about 8"-12" long. Put it in the rubber hose that is on the sending unit. You will need to cut the flared ends off first. Cut both flared ends off as close to the end as you can. You will have to trial fit everything. Put the line on, put the sending unit back in the tank. If it hits the bottom of the tank, of course, it is too long. Be careful, you don't want to cut it off too short cause then you will have to put gas in at every 1\4 tank or it won't pick up. I got an electric pump from Autozone for $38 P/N E8012S it is a master brand. You can use any fuel filter from the pump to the carburetor. The pump already has one on it at the inlet side. Leave the stock mustang filter in it's place. When you get all of this or if you have any more q's, pm me or email me. I have done this twice in the last year and it ain't as hard as it sounds. You can do it in one long day.
