It takes the slop out of your throttle cable, period. You're reading way too much into it. The only difference you or anybody else will ever notice is a more responsive throttle via the gas pedal. It doesn't alter the throttle itself at all. It doesn't change any angles, or do anything at a different time or place. It takes the slop out of your cable. If you believe anything else, you have some serious issues to deal with.
Okay, I'm sorry. I just posted this and reread your post, and realized you are not referring to the spacer-in-the-cable website SLO95 provided a link to. Where is there more info on the item you are referring to? I'm curious to read about this.
