You get a timing pointer free with every ford vehicle

j/k why not get one from a boneyard?, they don't wear out. The FRPP timing cover isn't any different from a regular one and a timing pointer from any ford 5.0L or 5.8L will work. If not you can probably order a new one from any Ford dealership.
These Chevy guys can sure make a big problem out of a minor one when it comes to anything Ford.
