245/55/16 are about as big as you can go on the stock rim.  If you change the  diameter(the middle # would affect it) then it will screw with your speedometer a little bit.  Even with 245's on a non-lowered car I've heard you can have some rubbing issues so be careful.  So I guess I wouldnt go any bigger than 245's IMO.
