TPS fixed with PCM repair
I was attempting to hook up the TPS to my data acquisition hardware/software... Anyways, I noticed the voltage does not vary? Hmmmm? I re-re-re-checked the wiring, and wired it all properly, but the TPS voltage does not vary.
So after LOTS of investigating, come to find that the PCM actually had a broken connection, and I fixed it as pictured below. So now, not only do I have ability to capture throttle position, I actually FIXED something too! ;) Before: http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s...r001circle.jpg After: http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s...erfixed005.jpg Going to add Throttle to this screen layout: |
Re: TPS fixed with PCM repair
Do you have any idea how this happend to your PCM? I recently have had major issues and after opening mine up it appears to have the same issue. Mine started after installing a new oxygen sensor harness.

Re: TPS fixed with PCM repair
Mine was due to using an AOD oxygen sensor harness on a 5 spd car. I got it fixed thanks to your post here, did the same trick. Probably saved me hundreds on trial and error and eventually a new computer. Thanks for posting this. -Chris
