TPS Setting?
So I'm tuning up the pony tomorrow. And I'm going to check the TPS setting... I lost my old book that had the ideal setting in it when I moved. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/frown.gif Anyone know what its supposed to be at for a 90 GT? Friend said it was either .997 or .998... Thanks guys. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/wink.gif

I have mine set at .99 I never read past that. I think you can adjust between .97 and .99.I could be wrong it has been awhile. Good luck

I've heard that .98 is the optimum.

It doesnt matter and will not affect your cars performance. Leave it alone, save your time and our time.

I don't think its too important, from what I hear .99 is best (closest to 1.0 that you can be) but anything from .97-.99 is ok. If its just within that range, it will be ok, if its below (it really depends on each individual engine) it may run lean.
You had a bad experience Mach 1? |
No, I didnt have a bad experience, just throwing my 2 cents in. I did some research into this in the past, and concluded it will not affect your performance as long as its not causing any problems in the first place. The computer reads the voltage from closed throttle to wide open throttle as a reference for throttle position, and the voltage itself is meaningless as far as increasing performance by tweaking it .1 or .2 volts one way or another. I guess Im just tired of this misconception, didnt mean to sound like a prick, and who knows, I could be wrong.
