Exclamation Track night, update....getting better :)

Had it back at the track today. 1 st run i wont mention, clutch cable came off pedal under dash. LOL actually i will,

But 2nd run, and last, took 1 hour to fix that cable. we decided to take a run of the mill 850 holley and swap it out with the 750 barry grant. To our surprise, the run of the mill carb ran a 12.203 at 117 mph, carb was out of tune and bogged a bit in 1st, a 1.946 60 ft time showed that.

The first run, I actually got it all the way down the track., cable sliped off in 4th, got hung up on new lakewood bell housing. the first runn was a 12.341 at 114 on the 750( 1.75 60 ft time), but the air filter was still on, I have to use an inverted plate so hood can close and the top of the filter is less than 1" from the carb venturis.

Next week we should be seeing 11's. if the driver can get it 100% right thats me.

PS word of advice, dont lean forwards off the seat on a hrad launch. It slapped me back into the seat and yanked my hands free from the shifter knob, and that really hurt my fingers..........

Cool

So far, my best 60 ft was 1.729, but we're going to drop the tire pressure down to 14 psi, from 16 . the tires seem to becomming around. Wearing in I guess, i trie5 a 5500 rpm and at 6000 rpm launch and just spun 1 st and 2nd and ran a 2.249 60' there
