track times from cam and ported e7's on SD stang!
Well I got the stang to the local 1/8th mile track. I only got one run do to a bad starter soleniod (damn and I just swapped out the stick). First run out of the box no tuning not even on the transbrake it went 7.94@85mph from idle flashing the stall. The previous best from the car with the C4 before the ported E7's and trickflow stage 1 cam it went 8.21@82mph. I'm sure with more tuning and practice it can go 7.8's off idle and maybe 7.7's off the brake (I hope).

Thats awesome. Is it difficult to tune ur car since it is speed density? Any ideas would help greatly.

Tell you the truth I don't know how hard it will be to tune the car. I have never really tried I just bump the timing to 14deg run some 87 octane and head to the track. I might get a AFPR? My goal is 7.69 or 11's on the motor since it went 7.61 on the spray a while back with the stick. I still have to a cage to put in to try and bring down my 60" but it was a 1.73 60" leaving from idle so I'm not sure if it will drop much with using the brake. But we'll see.
My buddy is going to be putting set of aluminum heads on his Sd stang with an F cam to try and run me down so we'll see if he can get the 7.69 first ------------------ 88LX 5.0,C4,3200stall,TFS stg 1 cam, ported E7's, BBK LT's, Race magnum bullets, ASP 3" pulley, 3.73's, ram air, air bag, skinnies, battery in the hatch, 75hp NOS Dry Kit, Explorer intake 8.21@82 N/A 1/8th C4 8.10@84 N/A 1/8th T-5 7.61@89 N2O 1/8th T-5 http://www.angelfire.com/ns/PurgingPony/50mainpage.html |

Be sure to post the results when your buddy adds the f cam and aluminum heads to the SD stang!

He already has the F cam that is why I put a cam in my car because I seen he could run the F cam with little driveability problems. He has run a best of 8.10@84mph so the heads and some weight reduction it should be way into the 7's.
