Trans-Go Shift kit question?

Hi guys, Sorry, I' ve been gone a while but I got good news! Hell finally froze over and my wife broke down and let me get a shift kit, a tach, and some 4.10 gears. I've installed the shift kit finally and went for a test drive. Wow, thats alot of work, didn't realize what I was getting into. Well anyway, here's my question, what exactly am I supposed to be able to do now with the shift kit. Everything shifts firm and good and all but should I still have to do the AOD shuffle to hit 2nd? I thought the whole idea of the kit was to make it where you could shift when you want. Does anyone have an explanation. Please Help.

Thanks much, James

You will still have to do the shuffle. The shift kit will make firmer crisper shifts, and increases line pressure. in order to eliminate the "AOD shuffle" you would will need to replace the valve body for a different one. Something with an electronic OD delete which is activated with the push of a button.

Thanks again, James

quicky

Hey everyone,I got a quick question about that TransGo shift kit...I have on in my room that i'm gonna install next week...do you have to do the AOD shuffle during normal driving conditions too? or just while racing?

You don't have to do the "shuffle" if you don't want. Put it in D and drive it like a normal automatic. you do the "shuffle" at the track cause you can manipulate the shift points and get better "ET's."
