i just put vert mounts on my 90 GT and dont know what to get for a trans mount. do you think it would make any bit of difference if i got a urathane trans mount over a stock rubber one??
thats what i dont know, what trans mount should i get? i just dont see how it could make that big of a difference. thanks, adam

I would go with the urethane tranny mount. It will better compliment your vert motor mounts. I have the same set up, it works great!

you do like it? what would be the main difference between the urathane and rubber mount? the only thing i heard it will gain is the shifter wont bounce around as much with a urathane...
how does your car feel? thanks, adam

I have the energy suspension tran mounts, even the ones on the outside (x-member), i think my car rode a little more rough, a little more vibration, i got used to it, but for high performance applications your not looking for smoothness? my shifter does stay in one place now, I recomend it, i have stock motor mounts though. good luck, imo the t-5 needs all the support it can get to hold it still.

I like it very much, my car feels very firm with it. I have a Tremec and Pro 5.0 shifter, which also adds to the firmness.
There maybe only a slight difference between the rubber and urethane. But, it is an improvement, if you are going to buy a new tranny mount, I would certainly buy the urethane, it's just better. Hope that helps some and good luck with your decision. |

I installed one on my 95 gt when I had it and I got alot of drivetrain vibration .So bad that I took it out .I have a 88 with a aod I have been thinking about putting it in too see if maybe it was just because of the stock motormounts because I have convert mounts on my 88.
