trouble with MAS Conversion
I put a Mas harness from a 90 GT in my car today and I found out that I have one extra plug in the engine bay on the car and one extra plug on the harness at the computer. What are these for. I tried to start it up and my fuel pump didn't even kick on. Any help would be great!!!!

Could be a ground issue????
Is this plug white and round in shape? Is that wire pink with a black stripe? ?????? Describe the plug... and the color of the wire. |

Ok I forgot about the other two by the mas sensor. The two by the mas are white one is bigger than the other. On the smaller one the wire colors are yel/pnk brn/grn. On the bigger plug they are yel/wht brn/grn. The plug by the computer is round and grey and has 6 posts.

Ok sounds like to me so far that the fuel pump is hooked up. Did you hook the wires toe the mass- air sensor yet? I know you have to splice the new wires into some others but don't exactley remember. (Been like 8 years or soo.) Didn't the kit come with instructions???
By the way.....does your car have an air-bar in it or not? I don't remember if it was 90 or 91 when they had air-bags from the factory. That white plug on the Passanger side might be for the air-bag sensor. |

It's not a kit. I got the harness off ebay. My car does not have the air bar. My car is an 87. Yes the mas was hooked up at the time. I figured that the white plugs were for the crash sensors.

Yea, you are most likely right. You did say that the pump doesn't work right? Did you check to see if the relay is good or bad? (fuel pump relay)

I think I've located the problem. I think that the green plug that is next to the computer goes back to the fuel pump???
It looks like I will have to relocate a couple of wires in this plug. |
