Question trunk lid question

this is probably a easy one!

i have an 89 lx 5.0 CONVETIBLE, and i was wondering if a trunk lid from a NOTCHBACK (non-fastback) will fit?

i hate my luggage rack and i thought this would be easier than taking it off and filling all the holes and repainting.

i'm going for a "clean" look.

thanx

It should fit. An alternative would be to buy a fiberglass replacement lid. I know it will be more than a junked lid, but it will last forever. 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords has a quick tech article on them in their latest issue.
