Trying to put A9L EEC from 90gt into 94gt

I got an A9L EEC computer from a 90gt and I am trying to use it in my 94gt both with 5speed and 5.0 , I installed the computer in my car and the car started up ok but after initall start the idle was very rich you could tell and exhaust was smoke and very gassy smelling. I tried driving for about 40 feet maybe a little more and the car had no guts just ran like the car was choking itsself with gas. Does anyone know what I could do to use the A9L as I am told that computer is better than the T4M0 that is in my 94 and in all the 94-95s. PLEASE HELP ME!!! after I put the original computer back in car runs fine
