Tune up question

I'm getting ready for my 90k tune up and I'm wondering what brand spark plugs and plug wires I should use. Should I just go with the stock Motorcraft plugs or should I consider getting something else?

Autolite 25's or motorcraft plugs, fms 9mm wires or msd wires, fuel filter, msd cap & rotor, pcv, pcv breather screen. Set timing to 14*, oil/filter change, trans fluid change.

MSD wire boots dont clear the headers so good, u might want to stick with a different brand wire, something with a 135 degree boot

When my car was stock I had accel 8.8 wires, accel hot coil, accel cap/rotor, K&N air filter and either accel ugrooves or split fire plugs(can't remember which) and got almost 28mpg on the highway. My previous best was alittle over 24mpg, this was with an aod vert. I have autolights in my current engine(recommended by edelbrock). I have fms plug wires right now, my next set will be Jacobs. I remember one of the boots on the accel wires burning against my headers but I can't remember if they did with the stock headers.

The MSD wires I had cleared, but you have to bend them. The boot is bendable. Everything that Grn92LX should be done too. Good luck.

I think some of the MSD wires are bendable, and otheres are not, as the set I had didnt want to bend.

-Autolite #25's
-A brass top terminal dist cap and rotor
-My car responds better to 16* of timing, so you might have to
play with it a little bit.
-I like Taylor wires, just my preference
-Replace fuel filter
-change oil and filter
-clean air filter
-PCV valve and screen

My bad Mach 1, I thought that MSD had either pre-bent wires or bendable ones. I guess you learn something everyday. Take it easy.

I thought they were bendable also, but I put a good force on them, and they didnt want to go, and went back to the original shape. maybe I didnt bend them hard enough? Eithier way, I didnt like the way they fit and sent them back.

Yeah, doesn't sound like your were bendable. Mine were very easy to bend and fit very well. Take it easy.
