underdrive pulleys

Do the underdrive pulleys make a noticable difference after they are installed?
I mean..would I FEEL a difference in acceleration?

Pulleys are in my book THE best mod for the money you can do. You will feel it, in my case the tires lit up much easier. I went from a 14.96 at 91mph to 14.6 at 94.89mph- that one heck of a boost for under $100. I have the ASP aluminum pulleys and highly recommend them. Before the pulleys it was like someone tied an anchor to my car when the rpm's got above 5 grand, but that was not the case with the pulleys, I didn't notice that lack of pull that was so obvious before the pulley install.

How hard are those to install? I have heard of people having charging problems, is that only with the stock alternator? Does anyone have underdrives with a 130 amp? Any problems there?

The underdrives are one of the best seat of the pant's mods you can do. They are easy to install, but to get the pulley off the Alt. it is best to use a impact gun, I have heard some garages will take them off for you for free, you also need to put the new pulley on woith one takes 30 sec's with a impact. As for charging, I have wen't through 2 65amp alt, and I did have low charging but it has seemed to be better with this last alternator and ignition switch. A lot of people leave the underdrive alt pulley off and keep the stock pulley if they have charging problems, I don't think you would have any prob's if you have a 130amp.
