I have FMS blue pullies. Love the color and they did give a little gain up top, but I have had so many times when my car would die that I am seriously gonna yank the alt. pully. And I even have the 130 amp alt. that the 94-95 mustangs come with stock. Thats probably the only reason my alt. hasn't blown by now. But my voltage regualtor is shot because of this. My local speedshop sells a smaller alt. pulley which I'm gonna buy. Also, I belive on top of the already hot tendencies of the '94-95 mustangs, that the pullies are making me run hotter.

If you keep the pulleys in, other than the alt, what belt do you use.......where t get it from??

Wow, a lot of folks have had problems with UD pulleys.
When my car was much more stock.... I ran March underdrive pulleys, with the stock alternator and two amps.
I never once had a problem with the car not starting. Sure, the lights were dimmer at night, but that was only at an idle. |
Even after way more than three days. In the nicer weather I ride my motorcycle a lot and it isn't too uncommon for the stang to sit for a week at a time, but it always starts up. I also run an amp and sub in my car and never have problems, other than dim lights and weak fan at idle.
I have had the pulleys for about 3 years now and just replaced the stock (as far as I know) alternator last fall. I have had no problems with the new one either. |
Maybe I've got a little electrical gremlin draining some power somewhere......I'll check it out. Thanks.
