![]() Ok, here is the problem:
I just bought energy suspension motor mounts for the 84 to 93 mustang. The mounts look the same! The bolts are in the right place BUT the Little TITS (or aligning pins) are totally off!!!! What can I do?? Just order Ford motor mounts or can I GRIND the TITS off and mount it like that??? If I grind the tits or even RE-Drill new little holes on the frame for the tits will it hurt anything ????? Or am I creating too much work? |

![]() In my opinion, you can't go wrong buying original Ford parts. You probably can use the mounts you bought after modifying them, but think about how much of a pain in the *** it will be to replace those if something does go wrong. Wow, I just realized this post has the words tits and *** in it! I didn't think this was that kind of board! LOL!!

![]() I just had a similar situation, I have a 89gt and had the same problem with the energy suspension mounts, although i was going into a aftermarket k member, in order to get things to line up correctly all i did was grind off the tits, there is no need to redrill to put them in another location, because the main movement of the engine you really have to worry about is side to side. well goodluck and hope you get them in.

![]() oh and by the way they are very easy to modify , just undo the three nuts and take a dremel tool with a small cut off wheel and cut the tack weld on the back of the tit and bolt it back together.
