Upper and Lower Rear Control Arms

I'm building my '89 GT - Cobra clone as a 350-400hp, street car with no power adders (right now, anyway). My question is, are aftermarket control arms really necessary. I'm not being cheap, I just want to know. Also, I'm installing the rear in a few weeks and would like some recommendations on springs, shocks and struts. I don't need anything adjustable. Also, I don't necessarily want my car dropped that much. Because of this, I'm leaning toward the FMS springs. They say they only lower the car about 1 inch. That's fine with me. Thanks.

No

Should you get something for a 350HP car, yes. Just get lowers. My brother still has stock uppers and he is pulling 1.33 60fts.

I have Mega-Bite Jrs and can feel the tires digging into the pavement, something I couldn't feel with the stockers. They can be installed in two positions and I put mine on the softer one. It was recommended to me not to replace the uppers with any thing stiffer than the HD/Police UCAs, which I did, due to binding.

With your hp, yes you need control arms

I'd suggest UPR adjustable uppers and Mega Bite Jr lowers.

X2C upper and lower control arms if your on a budget like me. ($162 shipped)
