![]() 99,800 miles on the car and the overdrive band goes out. I figure it will cost just as much to repair it as it would to replace it, so I might as well spend a little bit more and get something I really want. I do a lot of highway driving and have 4.10s in the rear, so I'm thinking the T-56 is the way to go.
I just thought I'd throw it out there to hear everyone's opinion on the swap. Also, the only company I know of that sells a kit is D&D Performance, know of any others? |

![]() yeah, yeah, yeah T-56 I envy you!
Your current setup (I think): AOD with 4.10 rear gear=2250 RPMs @70mph D&D T-56 has a .62 6th gear w/4.10 rear gear=2325 RPMs @70mph You'd be spinning higher! You don't want that! D&D Viper T-56 has a .50 6th gear w/4.10 rear gear=1875 RPMs @70mph MUCH BETTER! All stock--- AOD w/3.08 rear gear=1700 RPMs @70mph Go with the Viper T-56 and have a blast!
