Are you using Steeda's cable also, I heard so bad feedback on their cable in other posts???

I'm using Steeda's double hook quadrant, adjustable cable, and firewall adjuster. Running a King Cobra clutch. I've never had a single problem. I've had them in my car for about 6 months now and I'd buy it again. The firewall adjuster is the most convenient thing because I don't have to get under the car to adjust it if the cable stretches a little over time (which it hasn't yet) or when I hit the track I use a slightly different pedal height.

I run the UPR quad and cable and it is very nice, the quad has 3 places to hook the cable so you can tailor it to your driving style, very nicley machined alum quadrant and the sot for the cable is milled with a round bottom so it really fits the cable, some brands are cast or machined square.

I saw their Fire Wall adjuster at a NMRA event looked identical to the Steeda to me..

So maybe I will get the UPR instead of the Steeda, I heard the Steeda cables stretched quite a bit.

So w/ the UPR I can adjust the clutch to grab where I wnat it to from the floor???

Thanx for the info...

Yes:) and I believe the Steeda Cabel is like a stock cable on both ends, where the UPR has the threaded end so you can adjust from underneath if you do not have the firewall adjuster, so far about 2000 miles on mine with very littel stretch, I re-adjust the first week I have it just becasue I don't I had it where I wanted it exactly.

Do they (UPR) have a distributor?? If so who did ya find to have the best price???

Or do ya have to buy direct??

Not exactly correct Rick. The Steeda has two seperate hooks on the quadrant (that's why it's called the double hook quadrant, one for use with firewall adjuster, and one for without) and the cable is threaded so it's also adjustable from under the car if you don't have the firewall adjuster. It seems to me that it's probably six-one, half dozen -then other. Whatever floats your boat man.

hmmm...I had a buddy that said he had a Steeda cable and it had stock ends on both sides...guess he was wrong. Thanks for the info! I guess the UPR is a triple hook, since it has 3 spots.

I just installed the steeda adj cable w/ firewall adjuster and double hook quadrant. I have the king cobra clutch too. I had a previous aftermarket cable setup before which was not installed properly (by Ford) and broke. Having never felt the 20% less pedal effort the King Cobra gives, this Steeda setup has me very happy. I don't think I'll ever buy aother cable setup again.

BTW, the steeda adj. cable doesnt seem like it would break, although I've heard that all adjustable cables will break.
