my 88 stangs idle is messed up!!!Help plz
hey whats up. I have a 1988 mustang gt 5.0, and i just changed my valve cover gaskets and now its all back together and it idles at like 2 thousand rpms instead of the regullar 1000. I tried a few diffrent things and it still doesnt work. Can anyone please reply or email me if they can help me in anyway! I REALLY need it. is the all the vac stuff back on sounds like a vac leak to me.....

i know exactly what u did, there is a orange wire under the factory loom between the egr valve and the tps. It probally broke when u took off ur intake, try this, take a multi meter probe the orange wire on ur tps, it should say 5v if it doesnt the orange wire is broken somewhere, or ur ecu is fried,

yeah it turns out i had the pcv valve tube off! LAST TIME I HAVE MY BROTHER IN LAW help me out! thanks a lot though felllas! have a good 1
