I had no problems with mine (I had the Vortech unit) or my new C&L 76mm. My car was dyno-tuned with the 73mm in place so perhaps that played a part it the car's excellent drivability with the meter. It was tuned to my application. For the price, it's not a bad mod, IMO. Good luck.

i had nothing but problems with mine. very unstable idle. i put in a pro-m 75mm and the idle was perfect. also with the vortech unit i was getting about 10 mpg, now with the pro-m i am getting around 16mpg... thats a big difference....

take care,
adam

Well i guess it's mixed opinions, more good than bad, i just want tb, and maf, before i bolt on some ported heads, if the vortech doesnt work out, i'll sell it, im not worried about gas mileage, but i do want a stable idle. thnx again, anymore welcome, it is a cheap/cheapest maf i can find.

Isn't this ironic, i have the 73mm Vortech MAF housing and i'm selling mine as well

I'm going to be buying new injectors, so i'm getting a matched new MAF meter. The Vortech MAF i believe is an OK use of money, but if you ever plan on doing more mods, i'd just buy the bigger injectors and MAF sensor at the same time. I don't regret getting the MAF meter housing, but i'm selling it after using it only 10k miles, and i even though i can swap out sample tubes, i've heard that the sensor is only fairly close to being calibrated and isn't as accurate as a custom programmed sensor. A guy at my school will buy it and i'm throwing in a 65mm throttle body as well so i can clear out some room on my shelves .....more room for my next batch of parts i acquire.

The C&L and vortech are the same

I have the 73 on my car. Works great. 21-22mpg and low 12's.

I'm going to be buying a Pro-M calibrated mass air flow sensor with the set of injectors i'll be getting....that's what i would personally recommend, i'm not sure but i've heard that they'll re-calibrate a meter you buy if you change injectors for a fair price as well. Good luck on whatever you decide.
