Question Big block or small block?

For a mean street machine '67 coupe. Big block 428 or small block 289/302? My friend is trying to talk me into going small block so I'm just curious what kinda numbers can I get outta these (obviously the big block will have more power).

Small blocks can be stroked to 427 CI and would be a heck of a lot lighter. You'd also have all the Windsor after market stuff readily available (heads, roller cams, etc.). That's the way I'd go.

I say small block, A big block will not automatically have more power (unless you are talking about stock engines).

The extra weight of a big block is a waste because you can get the same streetable power out of a small block now.
