Vr-1?
I have a oil change comming up and I recently decided to try valvoline VR-1 racing oil 20-50....is it worth is or should i just stick with 20-50 all climate? and if i should use VR1 can i use lucas oil stablizer with it? i use it with the all climate and i put a qt of it every other oil change...

I have used VR-1 racing oil 20-50 for the last 5 years with geat success.

why you using such a thick oil?? when i had my 5.0 i would use 5w30 synthetic.

I wouldnt use it on a daily driver. My car is a track only car the only time it isnt at wide open throttle is when its pulling on the trailor, pulling off the trailor, going to the staging lane and on the return road.
The VR-1 oil is good stuff. After 5 years of track abuse you could still see all the hone marks.

i've been told excluciely not to use synthetic in it by my dad...he knows a thing or to about about cars to say the least! lol, ok well i'll use VR-1 but what weight? should i use the 20-50 or is there another weight aviable that i should use?
