wacky guages - help?

This problem just started yesterday. Temp guage is reading just under red line, oil pressure is pegged, gas guage reads high too. I'm going to check the grounds on the engine, pull the guage cluster and check wiring back there. Anybody had this problem or know what to look for? Also, anybody know what resistance the temp sending unit should have at 180*? It's an 86 - I've heard the voltage regulator in the guage cluster is screwy anyway. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Chris

When someone gets a chance, would you stick an ohmmeter on your temp sending unit while it's idling at operating temperature and tell me what you read? I'm reading 37 ohms. I'm pretty sure the guage cluster regulator is bad and I'm just reading a false high temp - I just want to know.
