Ported Stock Heads...
How much hp will ported stock heads(homeade ported) make? I was considering porting my stock heads and buying a cobra or trickflow intake.... how much hp gain would I see over ported vs non ported stock heads? What kind of power/ 1/4 times are you guys with ported stock heads making? N/A not blown or juiced...

I've seen articles that said you can get 30hp or so out of stock heads...but that was a professional port job. I'd say you could look for 15 or 20 at most.

Back when my car was still NA, I had the stock heads with a little exhuast porting. With these heads, 3.73's, 19lb injectors,GT-40, stick, and a set of slicks, the car went a best of 12.80 @ 105. The car is a full weight LX.

ttt....come on there has to be more guys running ported stock heads out there... how do you guys like them? Did you do them yourself? Is it a noticeable increase(I keep hearing it's worth 20hp at least and it's basically free with just time...)

Had mine 5 years ago by a friend who was pretty experienced at it. Cleand up both the intake and exhaust sides (nothing severe)15 to 20hp sounds about right. 13.89@100.25 was my best after the mods below but there is probably another two or three tenths left with a more aggresive launch and power shifting - tried hard not to kaboom the T5.
