![]() I know someone asked in an earlier post on the weight of a 93 GT or something but I was interested in the weight difference of the fox bodied mustangs compared to the SN95 mustangs I assume the SN95's are heavier but I was wondering just how much and how much performance difference that would make since the 93's have 205hp and the 94 & 95's make 215hp.

![]() I always thought the 93's were rated at 205 HP because of the revised horsepower measuring method they switched to?
I think they produced the same as the older ones 225 HP (I think they also have different pistons). I may be wrong though. I had my car weighed with me at 3209 lbs. I weigh 195 lbs. 88 Notch. ------------------ C ME FLY 88 coupe = MAC headers, H-pipe, and Chrome 2.5" pipes, pullies, K&N filter, BM shifter, 17" ROH ZR6, Dropped 1.5". |

![]() Yea there was a change in the rating on the 93 along with some lost horses here and there over the years from 87 but I would assume that the 94 and 95's would use the new rating system that they used on the 93's. By the way thanks for the weight for the coupe.

![]() My dad's 91GT: 3200lbs w/o driver
My cousin's 94GT: 3350lbs w/o driver My 95GT convt': 3510lbs w/o driver - this is the lightest I ever had it, meaning this was with a 1/8th tank of gas, no spare, no jack, removed 25lb passenger side weight, and alum. DS. It once weighed 3803lbs at Englishtown NJ with me, I weigh ~170lbs. JFYI- based on our weights and 1/4 trap speeds, we are all at or around the same HP stock. The 91 ran 94mph, the 94 ran 93mph, and my 95 ran 90mph stock, based on the assumption of 1mph for every 100lbs of weight, we are all about equal. ------------------ 95 GT convt' 5 speed, 3.73's,FMS HD clutch, Pro 5.0 shifter, ASP alum. underdrive pulleys, Bassani offroad X pipe, 2 chmbr flowmasters, K&N w/o silencer, edelbrock performer intake, FRPP 65mm T-body, FRPP shorty headers, FRPP aluminum driveshaft.Hooker 4pt chrome car bar, Xenon/Wings West ground effects, custom interior Best ET: 13.83 Best MPH: 98.55mph with Best 60': 1.91 on Nitto DR's Homepage: <A HREF="http://www.angelfire.com/pa2/killercanary" TARGET=_blank>http://www.angelfire |

![]() The SN95 cars weigh about 200lbs more than the Fox's.
All MAF cars probably have about the same hp. The SD cars run like they have an extra 20 under the hood. SN95 5.0's were rated 225hp with the manual, 215hp with the auto. |
