Thumbs up

If it's the same difference as a Chevy small block, up to 25 pounds per head. Big, big, big weight savings plus the HP increase. Personally, I don't think the back seat is heavy enough to warrant removing it and having an empty looking interior. Besides, you'd be better off leaving that weight toward the rear of the car and lightening up the front.

My stock heads weighed 48lbs(if I remember correctly), my aluminum weighed 28lbs.

AS for the seats it all depends if you have the plastic backed or the metal backed seats. I had the metal back seats in my 91GT and it took about 30lbs by taking the whole rear assembly out. However the seats in my dads 93 Cobra are the plasitic type and literly weigh nothing, same with the fronts. My front seat were over 35lbs and the JAZ seat I installed with the brackets weigh in at 17lbs.

I removed the back seat due to the design of my cage, the "X" brace goes to the shock mounts and the kicker bars go to the torque boxes. I craped over 47psi of deadoner off from under the carpet, counting the padding that is under the rear seat.
