Just throw the stops away. Stock T-5's do not need stops. They have stops internally to prevent over shifting. Info from TTC at FFW Norwalk last year. If you set the stop too tight yes it will not fully engage in that gear. I think its just a gimmick to add the stops. My theory is that once you put a shifter on you will blow up your trans shortly. Due to one of two things. One would be the thought well now I have this shifter I can slam gears like I never have before and the other would be if you set up your stops too tight you will never fully engage in that gear and start wearing on the trans.
