Weirdness again.....
Well last Friday I had a problem with the car and it turned out to be the TFI Module, easy fix. Yesterday, I had a bad day and was taking it out on the car so to make a long story short, I was WOT at 5000rpm in 2nd about to shift to 3rd and the car just DIED, stopped running like I hit a rev limiter and the car rolled to a stop. It wouldn't start and I didn't hear the fuel pump when I turned the car on, so I figured it was that. Today I had to put the windows up because it was about to rain and I freakin heard the fuel pump so I turned the key and the car fired right over!! I don't know what the heck is going on here??? I really hope I don't have a wiring problem because that can be expensive!!

Could be a bad fuel pump relay - going in and out.

When it died, did it quit like you had turned the key off, or did it sputter and die? When it was dead, did everything else electrical work (idiot lights, starter, etc)?
It sounds to me like a relay problem, which is a cheap, easy fix. Take care, -Chris

It just died, it quit like I turned the key off. And everything else worked at the time.

My car did the exact same thing, it was the fuel pump relay. Its located under the air intake on the right fender. There is a couple of them in a row. I think its the one closest to the front, but im not sure. Its about $5 from ford. Don't know if that will help or not. Good luck.

Isn't the FP relay under the drive seat in a fox body?

Yes.
Speaking of which, have you done the test I told you to in the other thread? What were the results? Take care, ~Chris

Don't forget the inertia switch as I mentioned in the other thread. These things are notorious on fords. Do like I said about hotwiring the switch with a paper clip or piece of wire. At least you will rule this out by doing this. I am not saying that this IS the problem, but it very well could be. It could be a lot of different things. Are you sure you got a good ground on the TFI module? If it is not grounded good, then this will cause problems, of course.

Well I wasn't able to do any of the tests because I am in the process of moving. I am in Flda right now and the car is at my mechanic in Mass. I will be going back up there Wednesday and I have not heard from him yet (probably a good thing). He's also getting it ready to make the 1400 mile trip down here.

Thanks for keeping the thread up to date. And post whatever the mechanic says was wrong with it.
