Welding in subframes and removing front sway bar . What should I run??
Right now I am running a 14.79 @93 @3000ft.I have subframes on the way and I am removing my front sway bar.
Right now my 60ft is 2.00. If I pick up any E.T. it should be in the first 60ft (I think) I have had people tell me that subframes make a night and day difference and I have had people tell me that subframes didnt help them at all. I for sure have a traction problem for the first 70ft I have to baby the car or it goes up in smoke. I am hoping for a 14.55 or so. ------------------ 88 mustang gt convertible bored to 306 BBk equal length headers, mac cold air fender kit, 3.73 FMS gears, Steeds Tri-ax shifter, Steeda underdrive pullies, Custom off road X-pipe, 2 chamber flow masters, cowl hood, nitto drag radials, ford racing clutch, 160* thermostat 16 degrees of timing electric fan off 94' t-bird jacobs electronics cap and wires. I think those 2 mods would drop you to 14.78. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif j/k. 2 tenths I think is a stretch, but far from impossible. Is that 2.0 60' time on streets rubber, dr's, or slicks? If it's on streets you don't have a traction problem at all.

I would like to be able to dump it 2500 rpm's or so and see what she will do. 14.78 http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif If I run that while beating a camaro I will be happy. ------------------ 88 mustang gt convertible bored to 306 BBk equal length headers, mac cold air fender kit, 3.73 FMS gears, Steeds Tri-ax shifter, Steeda underdrive pullies, Custom off road X-pipe, 2 chamber flow masters, cowl hood, nitto drag radials, ford racing clutch, 160* thermostat 16 degrees of timing electric fan off 94' t-bird jacobs electronics cap and wires. I tossed my swaybar and went 1.9 only once, usually in the 2.0 range, but ran on tires in my sig, just radials, and small ones, i have no subframe connctrs, but are coming soon.
your right, the improvement comes in the first 60' if you can get your rpms up just enough to almost spin, but bogg a little, your in for at least 2 tenths improvement. ------------------ 90 lx coupe: 5spd, energy susp trans mounts, fms hd clutch, Mac coldair fenderwell, Mac h-pipe, supercoil, ADS chip, 160 stat, aluminum D/S, Black magic fan, 3.27grs. oh, i should mention, vht is good stuff, the guys at the track (workers) have some stuff works like glue http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif, i launched pretty hard, and felt my rear wheels hopping around, and driveshaft banging, but thats better than just smoking them to the 330ft mark http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif
