Question What did I buy

I am building a new motor for my boat and just got an engine from the the Junk yard.

It is a 351W from a 1988 police cruiser. It has a 2 berrel intake with a funny air port on the back. It had an oil cooler with long fat lines and the good blue silicone hoses. The rockers are stamped. I have not got into the cam area or timing chain yet.

I would like to know what the compression ratio of this motor is.
I would also like to know if the rods are good for continuous high load.

My goal is to run on 89 octain gas. I will put my existing Hollley 4160 carb on it. It will spend its life at 1400 RPM or 3100 RPM. It will never go over 4000 RPM. I have to put a miled marine cam in it with no valve overlap to keep the water out of it.

I think I am going with Fordged pistions.

I already purchased ARP Main Bolts and a high volume oil pump.

I am not sure roller rockers are worth it for a 3000 RPM motor, what do you think?
