Default lx trunk lid???

I have a 1990 lx convertible and I got rearended a few weeks ago. I found a really nice trunk lid off a lx coupe. The hinges for my trunk are on the outside and the hinges for the coupe are in the inside. The guy at the salvage yard said I could just drill a hole in the lx coupe lid and put my hinges on. Is this correct??? I thought I would ask you guys before i bought the part.

Thanks,

Jeremy

Yes, just drill the holes and you're fine.
