Default What does MPH indicate?

I was looking at some race results at the local drag strip websites and noticed that there were cars running mid 12's at the same MPH as I did(104-105mph) but I'm running high 13's
What does my 13.78 E.T and 104mph indicate?
Is it because of my traction problems and does it also indicate that my engine has the potential of 12's

Your 104 mph trap speed indicates the amount of HP your engine produces. Many factors come into play when mph is related to ET.

The weight of the car.
Torque
Gear ratio
powerband etc...

Your engine is putting out 290-300 RWHP more than likely. A 13.78 @104 can turn into a 12 second pass @ 104 with the proper gearing and a 1.5-1.7 60ft.

If you are not running on slicks you are just wasting your time. I am almost a full second slower on street tires.

yes. look at your 60' times. i dug out some of my old time slips and i was running 13.1-13.2 with a 60' time in the mid 1.8's. with the same combo and just switching to slicks i am running 12.7's with 60' times in the mid 1.6's!

Drop your air pressure in your tires, and get them to hook up. I bet you'll be happy with your times if you get them tires to hookup.
