Default What is a good cam for a 94 gt auto w/ 410's

I have a 94 GT with cold air, pulleys, H pipe, catback, 410's, and a built AODE.
I also have a ZEX dry kit with a 75hp shot set up right now.

I am looking for a good cam for my set up. I am also going to put GT40P heads on at the same time of the cam install.

Thanks for any help...

Chime in if you can help on anouther post I have going. Below->

Stock 94 gt how much (Nitrous) can it handle?

Hey guys,
I need some info. before I possible go off the deep end...?...

I have a 94 GT with cold air, pulleys, H pipe, catback, 410's, and a built AODE.

I also have a ZEX dry kit with a 75hp shot set up right now.
It worked great for awhile now, I would say I am in the mid to low 13's right now.

My base timing is set at 10 degrees and I have 2 heat range cooler plugs in.

My question is,
What is safe for my stock motor with 75k on it to handle for nitrous?

I am going to the track in a few days and I want to use the 100hp shot atleast. I would like to use the 125hp but I heard sometthing about the pistons they put in the 94 and 95's not going good with nitrous.

Any info. would be very helpful.
Thanks...

be a man and go X cam ..nah j/k i think the popular cam of choice would be the E cam and isnt a stock 5.0 block supposed to take something of around a 150 shot? i wouldnt go 150 but i think 100 would be fine if u got a fuel solenoid to convert it to wet shot

Default x cam

I have an X cam right here in my room out of my 87 gt I took it out when I installed my F .T .I. blower cam.

I am probably gonna shoot the 100 shot and set my timing at 8...

I would suggest a TFS #1 cam.

A lot of people say that you can't run as much nitrous on a 93+ 5.0 because they don't have forged pistons like the 87-92 cars did. The hyper pistons with handle just much nitrous as forged pistons, it's just that they aren't nearly as resistant to detonation.

The stock fuel pump is good to about 100hp with a dry kit. With a aftermarket 190lph or up pump I still woulnd't spray more than a 125hp dry shot. However with a good fuel pump I wouldn't be scared to spray a 150hp shot on it. I've got a 150 hp wet shot on my notch and I love it.
