Default What happened to my hood?!?

Since I have been doing some winter mods, my hood has been propped up for about a month or so. When I tried to close the hood tonight, it didn't latch. It goes down all the way and lines up alright but it just won't latch shut. Is it possible that from being propped up for so long, the hood flexed? Is there anyway that I can fix it or am I going to have to get a new hood now?

It lines up along the sides perfect but it's just a little off at the front and so it won't latch shut.

Unhappy Hood hassle

Stang_Crazy:

Weird.

If it lines up right it's not flexed so it may just be that something in the latch mechanism got messed up.
Make sure everything 'works' when you pull on the outside hood release and then try applying some grease (or WD-40) on the latch.

Ha! Do I have a solution for you!!

You know those little things on the rad support that are on the left & right side that are bolt bottoms, and have that black rubber stoppers? Well, I would think someone has screwed with those(litterally), and so one side is sitting higher because it was screwed in/out.

Let me know if this helps.
