Default what the hell is going on w this car

I am stumped. again. my slips are not making since. 1.9 60ft times. 1/8th mile times are 8.3 in the 80 mph range. Quarter mile 12.20 at 121mph. If i launch gentle, 1.9 60ft. If i launch hard it spins and 1.95 or worse. I have steeda's drag pac stage 2. Struts, springs, airbag, Mickey t et streets 26 inches tall. 4.10 gears. Tremick tko2. Why is my 8th and 60 so sorry and my quarter and mph decent, considering the slow start. Do i have gear ratio problems? I reminds me of when the boat prop cavitates. My stupid car will not come out. Why the hell, cant i baby it out to a 1.7, if it wants to blow the tires so bad. On the other hand, why wont these mickeys stick and let me hammer it out of the hole. I've never gotten a real conclusive answer. I'm begining to suspect its my gear ratio. like a boat when the prop cavitates. I have been killed by slower cars with less sticky tires and way slower mph. I was reeling them in like crazy. Take off kills me. My 8th kills me. I going to go into counseling over this

how much pressure in those ET streets? 121mph is good for mid 11's easily. I'd suggest getting a set of full slicks, and running them at about 13-15psi to start with.

What is your burnout procedure?

The way I do mine is to pull around the water box, and back into it. Then get the tires right in the center of the water, do a VERY short spin in 1st gear just to wet the tires, then pull forward just outside the water, and do a 2nd gear burnout until theres a slight haze coming off of the tires. Big smoky burnouts on slicks are a waste of time/money.

I've got quite a bit less power than you, and less gear too (3.73's) at cant cut low 1.6 60fts with cut stock springs (70/30:50/50's) and no sway bar.

You may have a tad too much gear on the 26" tall tires, but its only hurting your launch because you are spinning the tires. Get a set of 28" tall slicks and go at it.

i burn out just like you do. My car feels like it just isnt getting a hold of anything. It is so slow i 1 and 2 and mean as hell in 3rd and 4. I cross at 6400 or close to it on the spray. I think 28s would help. If i have gear problems they would help, and put more tire on the ground too i think.

wow, that must be one very slippery track!

do you pull your front sway bar off when you go to the track? that should help a little, but theres gotta be something else wrong.

Are you hitting the nitrous right out of the hole, or does it come on later? I'd say hit it after you make the 1-2 shift if you don't already.

If you want some decent 60fts, I'll trade you car's straight up

you'd hate my car. I did remove the sway bar. it is a slippery track, but my competition is still capable of pulling 1.7 or high 1.6 with waaay less stuff than i have. What would happen is , I'd trade and you'd figure out my car and smoke me with my own car
